Week 10 (The Animatic Script)
This is just a rough, needs to be elaborated.
FADE IN:
INT. GILES’S BARN – AFTERNOON
Farmer GILES (40) is underneath a cabinet searching for his favourite screw driver. He grabs the screw driver, places his hands on his knees and attempts to rise back up on his feet, but bumps his head. He grunts, rubs his head and makes his way to his work bench where he will continue to work on his latest invention.
GILES
(Rubbing his head)
That’s going to leave a mark.
Giles places the screw driver down and carefully turns his invention over. He places the final screw in the gadget, rotates the screw driver cautiously until it reaches its limit. He drops the screw driver down, lifts his invention up high and shouts.
GILES
At last! I’ll call you...”BLUNDERBUSS”
Giles rushes out the door taking his latest invention along with him. He makes his way to crop fields while struggling to fit his hand into the Blunderbuss glove. He aims his arm out at the ravaging crows on the corn field.
GILES
Farewell pesky creatures.
Farmer Giles attempts to blast the crows off the field using his new invention the blunderbuss which should generate a shockwave and send anything within its reach flying away. By swiftly forcing his palm slightly forward, he attempts to unleash the blunderbuss’s force, but fails. He tries again, and again, and again, and begins to shake his arm and tap the front of the blunderbuss.
GILES
Darn this... useless piece of junk
As Giles struggles to activate the blunderbuss, the crows are frightened away by a large sound and ground shake. A shocked Giles believes the impact came from his blunderbuss at first, until suddenly, he sees a GIANT approaching from a distance. A terrified Giles clumsily and unintentionally aims and fires his blunderbuss at the Giant, a shockwave is released sending the Giant tumbling and groaning down the hill.
GILES
Merlins beared! It works?!...
Giles hears a crowd cheer from behind; he turns around to see the town villagers of “Ham” cheering to his bravery. Giles returns a subtle wave, while accidently unleashing a shockwave in the direction of the villagers. They all duck for cover, Giles swiftly pulls his arm behind his back in disgrace and rushes back into his workshop.
