Synopsis

Farmer Giles, a farmer by day and inventor by night accidently defeats a clumsy giant while testing his new invention the blunderbuss. Witnessed by the villagers of Ham, Giles is named the brave one by the King of Ham himself. Although, as kind the king may seem to Giles on the outside, he has a hidden agenda to steal the treasures of the legendary dragon. By using Giles as bait, the King requests that Giles retrieve the weapon of light hidden at the bottom of a lake. Only one of pure heart and intention can handle this weapon. As Giles Holds the weapon of Light, he holds full control over the dragon, and the truth of the King’s agendas are prevailed. Giles orders the king to step down as king, for Giles to be the new fair and just king of Ham, restoring peace to the people. The King refuses this treachery and suffers a tragic ending in the hands of the dragon and a hungry giant. The dragon uses the treasures to restore damages to Ham, while Farmer Giles as king of Ham rules the town in peace.

Story Outline
Farmer Giles, a middle aged inventor/farmer is tending to his latest invention in his workshop. After adjusting the last bolt, he takes the invention out for a test. The Blunderbuss is a mechanical glove which produces a sonic boom to target annoying crows who continuously invade the farmer’s crops. As Giles reaches his arm out aiming towards the crows, a hungry giant stumbles through the crops destroying the precious land. The bedazzled farmer turns his attention to the approaching giant, and accidently fires his blunderbuss at it. The blunderbuss unleashes a sonic boom shockwave which pushes the giant back and tumbles down the cliff.
Farmer Giles is relieved to see the giant disappear beyond the cliff, but as he looks over his shoulder to see the villagers from the town of Ham who just witnessed Giles brave behaviour, he rushes back into his workshop.
The next morning, Giles is visited by a Knight who brings word from King Augustus of Ham. The King orders Giles to approach the royal court to be honoured for his bravery. Meanwhile, the giant survived the fall, and makes his way down an alley of caves, to seek out Chrysophylax, a rich and powerful dragon. As Chrysophylax slumbers in his cave filled with treasure, the giant’s stomping footsteps awakens him. He swiftly fly’s out of his cave, landing fiercely in front of the giant. Chrysophylax slowly approaches the giant, questioning him as to why he has come to these lands. The giant asks Chrysophylax for help, he claims that the town of Ham has become extremely powerful and dangerous with their weapons and technology. The dragon chuckles and fly’s out in search of Ham. He promises the Giant some food when he returns, as long as he guards the treasure.
Back at the royal court, King Augustus advises Giles that the giant he encountered is not merely as much of a threat as the powerful Chrysophylax. The King urges Giles to seek out the Sword of Light, hidden at the bottom of the lake. It is a legendary weapon known to kill dragons. Word of the giants defeat will spread to Chrysophylax, and he will come to Ham for a challenge. The king tells Giles of a time where Chrysophylax had ravaged the town of Ham, and stolen its treasures from the kings lair. Reluctant at first, Farmer Giles tells the King that he will seek out the sword of light, defeat the dragon, and return the treasure. Although, Giles knew the king had a hidden agenda to retrieve the lost treasure for his own selfish reasons.
Giles sets out on his journey to seek out the legendary Sword of Light. Meanwhile Chrysophylax fly’s into Ham destroying buildings in search of the brave Giles. A frightened King yells out to the dragon that Giles is at the lake. The dragon fly’s out of the town into the direction of the lake. At the same time, the king assembles his army and they too make their way towards the lake.
As Giles reaches the lake, he stops and ponders about how he will retrieve the sword. An idea comes to mind, and Giles reaches out his arm, aims at the lake, and boom, the blunderbuss unleashes a shockwave. The water rushes up to the sky, and Giles quickly makes his way to the sword of light. As he approaches the sword, the Dragon Chrysophylax fly’s into the scene. Giles is terrified, and clumsily falls over and tumbles towards the sword. Only an inch away from the sword, Giles reaches out his hand only to discover that Chrysophylax is right above him. Chrysophylax grabs a hold of Giles’s leg and lifts him up. Chrysophylax asks Giles as to why he wants to kill him. Giles replies with the story the King had told him before his journey. The angry Dragon drops Giles to the ground and Giles holds the sword of light for the first time. Giles reads the inscription on the sword, it says “Caudimordax”. Soon after, the swords power causes the dragon to become obedient to Giles’s orders, as he now holds the great Caudimordax in his hands. The Dragon advises Giles not to trust the king, and the story he told Giles was untrue. The treasure belonged to the Dragons and Augustus has been attempting to steal it for decades, killing off dragons in search of it. As the last of his kind, Chrysophylax swore an oath to protect the treasure, and when the time comes, to use it for a good cause.
Suddenly, the king and his army approach Giles and the dragon. The King suggests to Giles to kill Chrysophylax, or he will be killed. Giles decides to turn against the King and his evil doings, and step up as Ham’s new leader with Chrysophylax by his side. The King refuses this blasphemous proposal by Giles and orders his men to attack. Chrysophylax slowly approaches the king’s army. They cowardly run away leaving Augustus standing alone. Giles offers Augustus another chance to step down, but Augustus refuses, and charges toward Giles in anger. The dragon rushes in and sweeps Augustus off the ground and carries him back to his cave land where a hungry giant awaits a royal meal.
When Chrysophylax returns, he brings with him the treasures of the dragons, with hopes of restoring all damages the dragon caused in the town of Ham, and with Giles as King of Ham.
THE END.
